LOTS OF NEWS TO REPORT! First off, Mark's new band in Colorado has been officially christened THE SNEAKY BASTARDS, and includes Eric Martinez on guitar, Adam Kilgus on guitar, Paul Cohen on bass, Mikey Goletz on drums and sometimes Ethan Ice on keyboards. This band will be playing throughout Colorado this summer, so make sure to check it out.
Mark will be playing a pre-Widespread Panic acoustic show at the new Moe's BBQ location in Lakewood, CO on Saturday, June 26 from 2 PM to 5 PM. This is a free show, so come on out before Panic on the Rocks.
In the fall of 2009, Denver music icon Tori Pater celebrated his 40th birthday by assembling an all-star cast of Denver musicians for a show billed as "TORI PATER & the HEARTBREAKERS", a night of Tom Petty covers. Mark thought that it would be a great idea to assemble a similar show this July for his 40th as well as hopefully continue a Denver music tradition. Mark is thrilled to announce BRUT SPRINGSTEEN & the B STREET BAND, an evening of Bruce Springteen music on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Quixote's True Blue in Denver. The show will feature Tori Pater, Eric Martinez, Adam Kilgus, Bill McKay, Daniel Abrams, Tom Piercy, Paul "Dr. Poz" Cohen and Anna Broach.
Due to unforseen circumstances, Mark will not be appearing at the Dixie Mattress Festival on June 26 and June 27.
Mark is also thrilled to announce that on June 17, 2010 at Highland Pacific in Denver, the first ever show by the MINDY WATKINS BAND will occur. Mindy Watkins is a singer/songwriter out of Peoria, IL that Mark has known for many years. The two appeared together at several of the legendary Fox Brothers BBQ shows in Atlanta, last in 2003, and have talked about doing a show since. Now, it will finally take place as the SNEAKY BASTARDS will back Mindy for a set of her songs.
Mark will be peforming every second Saturday from May through October at The Open Tap in Denver as MARK BRUT & FRIENDS. The first show in this series will be on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 3:00 PM and will feature SAM HOLT and ERIC MARTINEZ. These are FREE shows, so come on out!
Mark will be performing a solo show in NEW
YORK CITY
on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at The
Living Room. This will be an early show, starting at 7:00 PM. Come on
out and support!
Loose Cannon went into Chase Park Transduction recording studio in March prior to Mark relocating to Colorado to lay down some tracks. One of the tunes resulting from this session, "Ways and Means" was just awarded TRACK OF THE
WEEK in the Americana category at GARAGEBAND.com. This track also
features some searing lead guitar from Eric Martinez of Bloodkin. Check the track

Mark has recently started uploading shows to the LIVE MUSIC ARCHIVE. This is
a free site that carries quality live recordings of many bands for steaming
audio and download. Check it out!
